Our story began during a challenging season in my life. When my son, Logan, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at just nine years old, everything changed. In the months and years that followed, caring for Logan became my world. Between his treatments and our time at home, I found myself needing something that would bring both of us a bit of healing, even if only in small ways. That’s when I turned to the earth right outside our door.
Starting a vegetable garden felt like the right thing to do. I wanted our family to have the healthiest, most nourishing food, and growing it ourselves gave me a sense of purpose during those uncertain times. Tending that small garden provided solace, helping us both in ways I hadn’t expected. And while I cared for our vegetables, my love for flowers started to grow, too.
I had always admired flowers, but it was when I discovered Floret Flower Farm out of Washington in a Country Living magazine, that a new vision began to bloom. Flowers could bring so much joy—not only to me but to others as well. I realized I wanted to create something more, to bring beauty and healing through flowers. So I started with two simple rows. Those first blooms brought a unique sense of joy and calm to our lives, and as Logan’s health slowly improved, my little flower farm grew along with him.
What started as a few rows quickly turned into rows upon rows of blooms, and eventually, I felt called to share this joy with others. Weddings became a natural part of that journey, a way to help people celebrate life’s most beautiful moments surrounded by the blooms I’d cultivated with so much love.
Today, CC Bloom is more than just a flower farm—it’s a place of growth, joy, and resilience. Every arrangement I create carries a piece of our journey, a reminder that something beautiful can come from even the hardest times. And just as those first rows of flowers brought us comfort and hope, my hope is that CC Bloom will bring the same to everyone who visits or takes home a bit of our garden.
